Internet personalities are in no way a guaranteed representation of a person's real world persona...but I'll tell you this: I'm a 28 year old married man who has gone through life acting the way I act and have not had any issues of being "punched in the face". You see, when someone annoys me in real life, I do speak up about it. I let them know that they're annoying me. The advantage of doing this in real-world scenarios is the fact that you're face-to-face with them and they don't usually resort to childish name-calling. I've never been called a "fkn noob" to my face.

As for minding someone else's business...it's everyone's business when they put it out there to see. If you saw someone running around Kamadan spouting racial epithets and toilet humor, would you play along or report them for verbal abuse? Or neither? If you would join in, you're no better and you need to grow up. There's more to a sense of humor and fun than being an ass-clown. As I said before: if your idea of having fun is making a toilet humor or racist character name, you're pathetic. If you report them for racism and verbal abuse, then you're a hypocrite. Making a name is just like running around whatever town you're in spamming it. Every time you chat in local, you're shoving your immaturity into other peoples' faces.

If you do neither, then you merely contribute to the problem because you don't help Anet clean up their game and make other offended individuals have to read the drivel.

eh not so much.. There is a huge difference between running around spouting insulting racism verbally abusing other people than just having a silly character name such as "Sum Yung Tart" for example. So you seem to be blurring the line between harassment and humor. I have reported people for spamming racism over the local chat but have never reported someone for having a funny name. One would be an apple and the other is an orange. So your label of hypocrisy is completely misplaced.

I just have better things to do than to spend my time tabbing through character names in town to find who may have a name that just might be considered as not acceptable. Like i said pretentious. I don't have sessions of searching for offensive names...where did I say I did? If I see someone with a name like that pop up in local chat, I take 5 seconds to /report that name. Oh well. Oh look, I just saw one on GToB while buying zkeys. brb.

As for Felicity Frostbite...that's ridiculous that someone would take offense to that. Hell, I'd probably name a character similarly. Sum Yung Tart...anyone who has any experience in the real world knows the pop culture behind the "sum yung" nameset, and the "tart" finisher just makes it worse. "Sum Yung" is way too popular as a joke name for the stereotype of young asians all looking alike to be a misconstrued typo, it's all but obviously intentional. Adding Tart to the end adds in the dimension of "young lookalike prostitute"...also a stereotype of asian culture: "Me love you long time" ring a bell? The report was justified.

As for claiming that my being married makes me prone to "tattle"...that's just ridiculous. And saying you're not going to explain why only shows your ignorance more. Good one. Now it's a bad thing to be in a relationship with someone? What's the matter, can't get someone to do the same?

I have never met an Asian German so i don't even know if they exist, and those are the only people whom might take offense to that name. I was wondering if that is alright with you.

i used to have a paragon named Spear Chucka, and honestly, it's not meant to be a racist name, it's a joke on what their job is, you're the one whose racist for seeing a simple pun as being geared towards racism, you my friend are the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing racist.

As for names i've been banned for I used to have a rit named I Cant See Shlt, i got banned, renamed the rit, then, funnily, some other douche stole the name and has gotten away with it since.

It's not racist to see racism in a widely-known racial slur being used in such a blatant form.

As for your ritualist...did you think that name was going to fly? And how do you know the old name is taken? Since you had that name already, it very well might be still assigned to that character even though the character's name is different. I had a character on my account that my brother-in-law was using before he got his own account. I deleted that character and he tried making a character of the same name on his own account...wouldn't let him. Try again, maybe it's available. If not...that person is probably due for a ban eventually too. It's a direct bypass of Anet's language filter. This is why I have no qualms about people using profanity, because it can be, and by default IS, filtered. If people remove the filter, that's their choice. Nobody made the choice to name your character but you, and by naming it that way, you're forcing your profanity on others.
